Why Proper Boat Stand Selection Matters

Choosing the right number and size of boat stands ensures your sailboat or powerboat is safely supported during storage or maintenance. Incorrect stands can lead to hull damage, instability, or safety hazards.

Tips for Measuring Your Boat

Length: Measure from bow to stern to determine the recommended number of stands.

Draft (Sailboats): Add the draft and keel support height, then subtract 6 inches to find the ideal stand size.

Hull Height (Powerboats): Measure from the ground to where the hull transitions from vertical to horizontal, then add the block height.

Installation Best Practices

Position stands evenly along the hull, with extra support under heavy areas like the engine (powerboats) or bow/stern (sailboats). For powerboats with a sharp V-bow, consider using a sailboat stand (SB) at the bow and a powerboat stand (MB) at the stern.
